You know, sometimes I hear people around here saying stupid things about us Bette Fans, laughing at us for being fans for one, and another for being a part of an online club. When I try to explain that just becuase we're online all over the world, it doesn't make us apart from each other, but rather, the online club brings us together, allowing relationships/friendships to form that wouldn't have been otherwise possible, as well as allowing us to have an avenue through which to discuss Divine things with like minded people. You know what else they don't know? That even though we are all over the place, as Rosalie would say, "WE CAN AND HAVE made a difference."

There are many things that have come up, and are scheduled to come up in the future, "Divine Quests" of sorts, that will be on this page, asking for your support.
Why do I put them up here? Because I can help the person organizing them come that much closer to their goal, by making things easier to manage, and by giving people an easy way to find out about it, and go through with it.

Many of the quests involve a great lady from the Official Bette Midler Club, who we refer to as our Mama Rose. And I'm happy to help in whatever way I can to make her life a little less complicated, since she does so much for everyone else.

Every road leads back to Bette, it was our admiration for her that brought us to the Official Bette Midler Fan Club, that encouraged me to make this site, and you to visit it.

Bette on A&E's Biography
For years I've had a link on the Support Ms. M page with info detailing how you as fans could let A&E know that Ms. M deserved a Bio. Well whether it was us or not, there was a 2 hour Biography featured on A&E, it was awesome! If you want to pick up a copy on DVD, you can follow either of these links, depending on your country or Or go to http://lslproductions.com; they are more expensive at LSL productions, but for the first 2500 fans, they have a bonus disc.

More Divine DVDs
Another one of the ways to support Ms. M I had up for a long time was the info to get a hold of Beuna Vista to request all of Ms. M's Disney movies on DVD. Since then all of the titles that were on the list have been released to DVD, some even in SPecial editions. Was it us? I think we had a hand in it, after all these companies aren't going ot know we're out here if we don't show them. For future reference: If you want to get ahold of Beuna Vista to request movies be released to DVD, call (1- 800 -723 -4763) and just say you would like to see the following titles available on DVD and ask for your request to be passed on, they will take your name and number and pass your request on.
It only takes a couple of minutes and the people on the other end are very helpful.

Bette Boxed Video Campaign (Feb- April, 2000)

I helped out my friend "BBV" aka Mark in organizing this one. We received over 500 letters asking for Ms. M's work to be re released, or released to video and these were sent off to HBO.
Items Requested were:
1)The Bette Midler Show
3)Diva Las Vegas released on VHS to North America
4)Art or Bust- 82 min version
5)Divine Madness with the missing songs



First Annual Bette Fans Auction for NYRP (May- June, 2000)

Mama Rose got to organizing this one, and I was happy to set up and help update the auction pages. Frustrated with seeing people pay OUTRAGEOUS prices on EBAY for Midler-o-bilia, Mama Rose decided to get donations of "extras" from fellow club members and online businesses of books, videos, cds, posters, t shirts, poi balls and magazines. The bidding began, and there was no stopping it! While final tally of the results are not yet in, it appears that the auction brought in close to $2300 for NYRP.

The TOTALS are STILL COMING and numbers reach over 2500 for NYRP

Make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame DIVINE (Feb- Aug 11th, 2000)

454 letters were recieved and shipped off to NY. Thanks for your help in getting Ms. M to the Hall of Fame...

Ya Gotta Have Friends (July - August, 2000)

When one of the fans from the fan club lost her house, and all her Bette collection in a fire, other members of the Official Club were quick to join in the effort. We managed to collect most of the films and cds, tapes of rare interviews, posters, an autographed picture (thanks to AGP), and signature superstores.com home of the OFFICIAL Bette Midler Store @ Signature Superstore Donated unbelieveable items to help build up Melissa's collection (including: Poi Balls, DMM Tout Ticket Stub, DMM Concert T Shirts, a bunch of goodies from the NYE show, Sweatshirt, coffee mug, and of course a Delores Delago Doll).
I myself was touched by the amount of support for this worthy quest. On behalf of myself, and I'm sure Mama Rose and Melissa thanks to everyone who helped out.
